Bite Beauty Best Bite Remix Set - Review and Swatches
Hello everyone! I'm here again with another holiday set and I'm REALLY excited about this one. Last year I missed out on all of the Bite Beauty sets, and this year I was not going to let this happen. So when I was in Sephora looking for something for my trip to Spain and came across this, I nearly had a panic attack. I found the set in store before I saw any announcements from Bite and before it was even on Sephora's website. I bought it immediately and I regret nothing. The set is called the Best Bite Remix Set and contains 4 x .05oz high pigment lip pencils for $25. Seeing as how the full size versions contain .09oz and retail at $24 per pencil, I'd say the set is a pretty good deal. It comes with 2 permanent colors (Rhubarb and Pomegranate) and 2 exclusive colors (Sable and Winterberry).
Now, onto my thoughts about these. I freakin' love them.
The pencils are twist up (thank you Bite Beauty for not making lip pencils that you have to sharpen. Nars, step up your game) and the formula is really great. They glide on easily and are extremely hydrating. For me they last a couple hours and leave a nice stain, which makes me feel like I don't have to reapply immediately. Pomegranate seems to last much longer than the other colors for some reason, which I'm totally ok with. I wore it to a wedding and only had to reapply my lip color once throughout the entire night. I was impressed.
One thing to be aware of is that the color will come off onto things. I kept accidentally touching my lips and there would be color on my hand, but somehow the color on my lips still looked perfect.
I love all 4 colors, but I have to say Rhubarb and Pomegranate are by far my favorites. I'm really glad they are permanent colors because I can see myself finishing these and going for full size pencils later.
The packaging is completely purse friendly. The 4 pencils nest in this little metal case, which looks just like an Altoids container. The top has a legit mirror so you can reapply and touch up as necessary.
And the swatches!
This was my first Bite Beauty product and now I'm dying to get my hands on more. My suggestion is to grab this set ASAP. It's well worth the 25 dollars!
