Nails of the Day: Butter London's Pillar Box Red and Stardust Overcoat
I'm in full-blown holiday mode and even my nails show it. Pillar Box Red by Butter London is a perfect bright Christmas red. I was going to use just the red, but I recently got Stardust Overcoat in the Silver Expectations set, so I decided to go a little bit more blingy. Let's go back to that red, though. I was genuinely amazed by how opaque and even the color looked after just one coat. I went ahead and applied a second coat, but to be honest, the color looked exactly the same afterwards. I'm always a little weary of red polish because it's easy to see application mistakes, but I did not have a problem with this one at all.
After I had the red applied, I added Stardust Overcoat on my ring and index fingers. Once I was done, it seemed too random to have the glitter on just two nails. So, I attempted to do a little ombre effect on my other nails. I think it actually turned out ok! I wish I had done that on all of my nails. Maybe next time :)
Overall, I'm really impressed with Pillar Box Red, and the glitter is just a fun thing to add in for the Holidays. What is your favorite holiday nail polish combo?
