Sephora and Anthropologie Haul + First Impressions
SOOO I might have done some shopping recently. I actually had a pressing reason to go to Sephora and I might have gone a little overboard. I went for the Shiseido cotton face wipe things. They are basically cotton pads for your face, but the softest best version ever. That's how this started. Then I got to perusing the aisles and decided I needed new face cleanser. I've heard that this Shiseido cleanser is great, but I did NOT understand how good it is until I tried it the first time. The best way that I can describe this is that it feels like moisturizing shampoo for your face. It's super thick, smooth and it lathers amazingly well. The scent of this cleanser is very subtle and after rinsing and drying your face, it does not feel dried out. This is a very moisturizing and gentle cleanser. I really like it so far.
I then went and checked out the Dior display to scope out their Lip Glow. This stuff is great because it just takes your natural lip color and enhances it a little. It's basically like a glorified lip balm. I also tried on about 10 different colors of the Buxom Full-On Lip Polish. I ended up settling on the shade Destiny. The shade is perfect for my skin tone and I love the way this lip gloss makes my lips tingly. I'm not sure it does anything in the way of "plumping" my lips, but I like the way it looks and feels. Next is the Tarte Bright by Night Skincare Discovery Set. I ALMOST made it out of the store without buying more crap I didn't need, but this was right by the check out counter and only $10. I've heard tons of good things about these products so I decided I needed to check it out. My first impression is that this stuff is seriously awesome. The maracuja oil and the eye cream make my skin feel so soft. They have been in my nightly routine for a few days and I am loving them both. I'm not sure my eyes are brighter but my skin sure feels really nice.
The next day I was really stir crazy at home. The hubs and I decided to get out of the house got dinner. We happened to be near Anthropologie, so of course we HAD to go. I wasn't in the mood for clothes shopping, but I LOVE their home goods/decor. I tried on their cute hats and sunglasses and strolled around the decor section. I had to pick up my favorite candle from Anthro, which is the scent Volcano. This is definitely on my top 5 candle scents of all time. Last, but certainly not least, I picked up this super cute butter dish. It is something my kitchen was lacking since we've moved to California.
I believe that is all for now! I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I spent way too much money on. Have a great Friday!
