Daily life with LUSH
Ever since my good friend Marianna introduced me to LUSH their products have been integrated into my daily life. To be honest, before I had someone to go with I was a little terrified to walk into that store. In fact, to this day I get a little anxious going in. Here's a little thing about me, I absolutely hate sales people. I'm not a fan of having salespeople come up and try to help me with things while I'm shopping. Particularly I hate it when it comes to very objective types of shopping, like picking out makeup or clothes. I know what I like and I will seek someone out when I have a question.
OK so scariness aside, LUSH has easily become one of my favorite companies to buy from. The salespeople are still a little over enthusiastic for me but I will endure it for the products. The bottom line is, their products are just plain awesome. I wanted to talk about the products that I have incorporated into my daily(or every other day) routine.
Many of these are shower (rawr) products. First, the shower gel that I LOVE so much is called "It's Raining Men". It is a really nice everyday shower gel. It's a thicker gel that smells primarily of honey. It leaves me feeling clean and not too dried out. You will definitely smell delicious all day long after using this. Next, is the shampoo called Rehab. This is such an excellent shampoo. It's not too watery and it lathers incredible well. It smells like citrus and its featured ingredient is pineapple juice. This is Lush's shampoo that focuses on "rehab'ing" your hair. It's great for damaged, overworked hair. I use this because I blow dry and straighten my hair on a regular basis. This shampoo is not too harsh and does not strip my hair of any of the moisture it needs. I pair this with the amazing American Cream conditioner. This stuff is the bomb. It smells so amazing, like a strawberry vanilla milkshake. This is my favorite Lush conditioner because it's thicker than most of the others. I don't feel like I'm putting milk in my hair, it actually has some substance to it. I also love this conditioner because it makes my hair smell amazing all day long.
These are my favorite non-shower products. R&B is a heavy, rich leave-in conditioner. I only use a tiny, tiny bit in my hair. It can quickly become way too heavy and weigh down my hair. Usually I take a little bit and rub it through my wet hair before blow drying. Then after i'm all done with blow drying and straightening, I take a tiny bit and smooth down any flyaways. This stuff lasts forever since I only use a little bit at a time.
The Vanilla Dee-Lite lotion is just a really nice everyday lotion. It smells like heaven. If you have any Lush experience, it basically smells identical to the Vanillary perfume and solid perfume. I try to use this sparingly because I don't want it to go away :( This is definitely a splurge for lotion, as it $28(!) for the whole bottle.
The last product that I LOVE from Lush is the Ocean Salt face and body scrub. I use this a few times a week on my face as an exfoliant. Basically I support any face product whose main ingredient is vodka. Seriously though, this stuff is amazing. It makes my skin so soft and leaves it smelling so citrusy and delicious.
I encourage you all to actually step foot in a LUSH store. The salespeople are incredibly helpful and know their products inside and out. They always make really great suggestions for me AND they are more than willing to load you up with free samples if you aren't sure of any purchases. Don't be a wuss like me and check it out!
Hope you have all have great weekend!
