Nails of the Week - Julep's Kayla
For the past 3-4 weeks I've been obsessing over coral and pinks. I'm moving on this week to this really beautiful, soft, iridescent purple. This purple is mostly on the blue side but does have pink shimmer to it. It takes some patience but with 3 coats this polish is SO pretty. I tried to capture this but really the photos do not do the color justice.
The above photo is my attempt to show how sheer the polish really is. It's a really thin formula, but I feel like the payoff is worth it. If it wasn't so thin, I think you would not get the effect that it has on your nails.
In the photo to the left you can see the lavender/periwinkle color but it definitely has a pink iridescence to it.
The color is perfect for spring. I am in love with how soft and pretty it is. I can't imagine this would look bad on any skin tones.
If you unaware of Julep as a brand I urge you to check them out! I am subscribed to the Maven box program, which is a monthly subscription. Each box you get a total of three products depending on which box you choose. Sometimes you'll get 3 polishes, sometimes 2 polishes and a lipgloss or other beauty product. Check it out here if you are interested. This is my invite/referral link, so if you feel wonky about that you can just go to their website and register. BUT if you do sign up, make sure you enter the discount code FREEBOX to get your first Julep box for free. Can't beat that!
