A look using NYX's Sex Bomb Palette
So yesterday I was just kind of playing around with this palette. I wasn't sure whether or not the red was completely not ok for me or would turn out to be awesome. I also was sort of playing around with some winged liner. During the week I usually do not have time for such shenanigans. 5am is not the time to be trying to create an awesome winged liner look. Once I was done and I thought it actually looked pretty legit so I took some photos for you guys. Let me know what you think.
This palette is really cute and CHEAP($7.50). The RED and glitter shades are really what stands out in this palette. The matte colors aren't really that excellent, but they can get you by in a pinch if you don't have any other neutrals on hand.
For the eyes I used the Stila Liquid eyeliner to create a small wing on each eye. I did the eyes first. That way if I made a horrible mistake I could just wipe away the liner and not worry about ruining my face makeup in the process. After I was ok with with liner I pressed on some Buxom Stay There eyeshadow in Collie as a base for the colors I was going to be using. This helped to keep the pigment true to color on the lid. However, once I added the crease color and blended it made the color more into a medium pink. I was actually ok with this. The red is a little intense in pigment, which you can kind of see on the lower lash line. Adding the red on the lash line is really what makes this look stand out.
These swatches on my arm are with no shadow primer. That one kind of looks like I have a nasty bruise... My favorites are the red and the glitter shades. The matte neutrals are not that great, so I ended up using some of the neutrals from my Naked 3 palette instead of the ones in this palette.
