Friday Faves, or How My Post was Delayed to Friday

Friday Faves, or How My Post was Delayed to Friday

So I suppose this has now become a Friday Faves post because I was a slacker the last few days. Yesterday I took photos for this post but thought they were garbage. Instead of subjecting you to bad photography I decided to wait a day to get better light. Please excuse my delay in posting, but I figured you'd appreciate having a more quality post.

Let's get right into it!

I'm going to break this down into categories so this isn't just a free-for-all.

First of all, I finally caved and purchased an Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for myself. When it came out I actually purchased a few for other people as gifts, but since I was still happy with my Naked 2 palette I skipped on getting one for myself. I'm happy to say I do not regret this purchase. I still feel a little skeptical about a few of the shades. For instance, the shade "Dust" is so pretty in the pan, but when I pick it up with a brush and try to apply, there is so much fallout. It's worth working with it because it's so pretty, but it's kind of a mess. Really that is my biggest complaint so far. This palette is a dream to work with just like Naked 2. I found that this week I did not even use my Naked 2 palette once. This is just crazy talk for me because it has been my staple since I purchased it forever ago. Between Naked 3 and my new Clinique palette (which I talked about here) I have been SET for eyeshadow.

So pretty

Buxom Stay-There Eye Shadow. O.M.G. This stuff is awesome. First off, it really does live up to its name. Once applied it really does stay there. The color I purchased is called mutt and is gorgeous on the eye. It has the right amount of shimmer, which is tons. I've already ordered one other color(Collie) and likely more soon.

If you have been around for a little while you already know how much I LOVE Revlon's Parfumerie line. I won't go into detail about this, as you can read about it in my previous posts (here and here). This week I tried it with this fun Sephora Formula X nail polish from the Xplosives Top Coat line, this color is Demolition. I think it is a really fun accent to a plain nail polish color and I'm thinking about picking up a few more flavors. They also dry SO FAST. It is amazing.

I've also been using Juleps Vanish Cuticle Softener and Remover. I'll be honest, I suck at doing my nails. This stuff has been a life saver for fixing my cuticle situation. It makes amateur looking manicures look a lot more professional, or... at least a lot more clean. Basically you put a few drops of this stuff on your cuticles and it dissolves the dry hard cuticle skin. That might be the worst description ever, but I think you get my point. Then you can use your cuticle pusher to push back the remaining soft cuticles, which creates a nice surface for painting.

This CoverFX CC Cream ---> is seriously the bomb. It is the best of all the CC/BB creams I have tried thus far. It is an all-in-one color correction/base/SPF and all around amazing product. When I wear this, I put it on at 5am and it still looks good at 6pm for dinner. I love this stuff so much. I recommend going and trying this at a Sephora store ASAP.

<---- It's a 10 Leave-In Conditioner has been my best friend recently. I don't dig the scent but what it does to my hair is worth it (plus the scent fades after a little while). I got this in some sampler box, I think it was birchbox, but I didn't use it until recently. I apply it to the ends of my hair and it really helps with making them more silky. Overall it makes my hair more shiny and healthy looking. Win.

This candle might be the death of me. It is so good and so evil at the same time. It smells exactly like Cinnamon Sugared Doughnuts just like the name says. This is amazing but all I want to do is eat doughnuts when I have it burning. Like I said, good, but so evil.

The other scent that I'm loving lately is a set from Tokyomilk Dark called Tainted Love. The scents are a combination of Dark Vanilla Bean, Sparkling Citrus, Orchid, White Tea, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean. AKA this smells like heaven. The set comes with hand cream, shower gel and my favorite- a rollerball perfume. I have been wearing this nonstop since I purchased the set.

I believe that is all for this set of favorites. I hope that you saw something you like or want to try out. Let me know what your recent favorites are!
